Starting Therapy can be a life-altering step.
Starting therapy is a big step and shows real courage. Most people have struggled for some time before they reach the therapist’s door. This can be a life-altering step, if you choose it to be.
The emphasis of the therapy is not only talking about what has happened, but on fully experiencing both what is, and what can be. In the words of Brene Brown "Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do."
My approach is Gestalt and integrative, which means that I am trained in a range of therapeutic perspectives and methods. I draw on a variety of styles of therapy bringing together all that I've found to be most valuable allowing me to work effectively with my clients, understanding that everyone is unique and different.
Personal growth in therapy means having support to face things that are too difficult or painful to face alone. Personal growth on the inside will mean positive changes in your life. It is natural to be nervous about starting therapy and choosing a therapist is an important step. While location and cost matter, feedback tells me what is valued most is a therapist who is experienced and able to connect with you.
I work with individuals, couples, groups, organisations, counsellors, psychotherapists and those in related professions.
